The Ladies.

Maryann Mooney.
Maid of Honor
(AKA Mares, AKA Mooney)

Maryann and I both played sports at USF (she volleyball and I softball).  It wasn’t until we both found ourselves living in Vegas that she became my partner in crime, sister, and best friend.

It was like “two bulls in a china shop”, except we were “two Bulls in Las Vegas”.  We did anything and everything to have fun, laugh, and try new things.

Maryann is one of the most loyal, wonderful and RANDOM people that I have ever met.  She has become a true sister, and I am honored for her to stand next to me on our day.

Alli Akers
Sister of Honor
(AKA Allimo)

Lucky me!  I not only get to marry the man of my dreams and soul mate, but I inherit a wonderful sister.  Alli has quickly become one of my best friends and I was honored to stand beside her when she married Dustin in November.

Alli has a special way of making people smile and laugh.  She can find a way to talk about nothing at all and making it hysterical.

She loves her husband, 3 dogs and is a kick as businesswoman!  Perhaps one day the Mrs. Akers will join forces in the business world?  Ha ha.

Janeen Matos
(AKA Neener - AKA The Animal)

Janeen and I were also teammates at USF.  She is one of the most impressive athletes I have ever played with or against.  Neener continues to show her skills at numerous alumni events, and other random places throughout Tampa.  I would not be surprised if she slid headfirst down the aisle on the way up, or back.

Janeen has a heart of gold and is one of the most kind and caring people in my life.  She and her husband Igor, were like God Parents to my dog Tucker, and they are always there for family and friends.

Neener has been such an amazing friend and I have so many great memories with her from our softball days, her visits when I was in Vegas, the love for our dogs, and now our days back in Tampa.

Tonya Hills
Sister of Honor
(AKA Sona)

My big sister.  Tonya is the kind of big sis you can only hope to get, but probably get stuck with a sister who only has 3 perfect kids and is a size 6!

My sister has been such an inspiration in my life and amazing friend.  No matter how busy her life is, she has always taken time out for me.  Anytime I need her, she is there.  We have had a connection since I was little and all I can remember is trying to find a way to be able to “get into Tonya’s room” each night to sleep.

She is truly a superwoman for all that she does and is able to balance.  I am truly blessed to have a sister and friend like her in my life.

Amber Delpino
(AKA Weezy - AKA Denise)

Amber is one of the most loyal and incredible friends I have ever known.  I am honored to stand beside her in September when she marries Thiago.

I actually interviewed Amber the first time I met her.  Soon after we were working together. From there we became fast friends roaming around Tampa and the rest of the country, for work and play (sometimes in our scrubs).

I have learned so much from Amber over the past 5 years I have known her.  Although I was her leader in position, there were so many times that I relied on her for guidance and insight.  She is one of the most talented people in business that I have ever met.  I hope that our career paths will cross again soon.

Robyn Owen
(AKA The Crafty Cougar, AKA Robin Owens)

Robyn and I met in Las Vegas.  Her first day and one job was my last, because I was moving to another company.  About a week or so later, she came to my new job with a friend and I hired her.  Ever since, we have lived in 3 states together and known each other nearly 10 years.

She is one of the funniest, passionate and weirdest people I know.  We have leaned on each other over the years for so many things and she has truly been like a rock for me as a friend.

You will recognize her by her huge smile and great laugh.

I am sure the most memorable moment at the wedding will be her speech, so I am really excited for that also!  ;-)

Sunni Matusik
Sister of Honor
(AKA Ladybug)

The best way to describe my sister is “you never know what you are going to get.”  Dawn is one of the greatest people I have ever met, and she continues to inspire me as a mentor, friend, sister, and professional.  She can make you laugh in one moment and cry in the next.  Mostly good tears, but sometimes it’s because you are wearing a hideous outfit and she is not afraid to tell you.

She has believed in me, like no one else and truly is an amazing person I look up to more and more everyday.

I was honored to be a part of her wedding on New Years Eve this year and excited we are both getting married in 2015 and sharing this special bond.

Betsy Gload
(AKA Betz)

Betsy and I met when I was an incoming freshman at USF.  I wish I could say, “Betsy immediately took me in, showed me the ropes, made me feel right at home…”, but… I will let her tell you the rest.  Once she noticed me, she loved me!

Betsy has been a true friend and a rock for me throughout my adult (ish) life.  She has been the ear I turned to, as well as an honest person who challenged me.  I adore Betsy’s perspective on life, her unselfishness and her confidence.

She has a beautiful family and much of what I had hoped for in a relationship one day was based off of her and her husband Ross.  They understand one another, and never seem to care what outsiders think, say or do.  I admire that about them.  They took me and my dog Tucker in several times during my days in Charlotte, and I truly loved spending that time with them.

Siggy
(AKA Melissa Sigmon)

Siggy is also a former USF Bull, and continues to stick beside Dennis and I during these awful times of USF Football days.  She and I met during my first few years at USF, but became close once I was done with school.

We spent many hours hanging out making inappropriate mixed CD’s from Napster, slumber parties with wine, concerts, traveling, and road trips to see Betsy.  Siggy is one of the most amazing and selfless people I know.  I am so blessed to have her in my life and to have had her through some of the toughest years.

No matter what her circumstance is, she constantly puts herself aside for others happiness.
